St Francis of Assisi Parish

The Legion of Mary has been active in our Parish since 1997. We have 9 active members and over 90 Auxiliaries.

This is a spiritual group open to men and women to work in the Parish seeking to promote The Gospel and the work of Our Lady. The object of the Legion is the sanctification of its members by prayer and active apostolic work in union with Mary.

The Legion sees as its priority the spiritual and social welfare of each individual. The members participate in the life of the parish through visitation of families, the sick, both in their homes and in hospitals and through collaboration in every apostolic and missionary undertaking by the parish.

We manage the parish piety stall where we make a lot of contacts especially with new parishioners. We also do the programme of Enthronement of the Sacred Heart in homes with our Parish Priest.

We have our weekly meeting at 1:00 pm Thursdays in the meeting room. Persons who wish to join the Legion or lend a helping hand to Our Lady’s work are very welcome. Please contact the Parish.
