 Due to COVID this Ministry is no longer available

 Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC) assist the priest in giving Communion to the assembly. They may also take Communion to the sick and elderly at home or in hospitals (Immensae Caritatis, 1) 

EMHC are required to have a ‘Working with Children check’. They also have to be commissioned and re-commissioned every two (2) years. 

EMHC are selected by the Parish Priest or a delegated member of his Pastoral team and be baptised practising Catholic.

The EMHC assist the Parish Priests to give Holy Communion and the Blood of Christ to the Parishioners at weekend masses.  They also take Holy Communion to the Sick and Elderly at their home and / or at Donovan Hostel.
